using the Flashmeeting video conferencing tool

Welcome to the eTwinning Flashmeeting video conferencing Blog.

This blog has been set up for the eTwinning Community of schools who are trialling the use of the Flashmeeting video conferencing tool. This blog can be used to share good practice or to help resolve any issues that may arise during the trial.

ABOVE ALL HAVE FUN using this tool.

Great minds think alike - I have created a blog specifically for the SE eTwinning workshop taking place on 17th July. Opportunity for collaboration.

I cant use flashmeeting. Port 1935 is blocked in Norway and the authorities wont open it. Its a pity because I have seen flashmeeting demonstrated and we would find it great to use.

GREAT NEWS - Norway teachers can now use Flashmeeting. The port issues have now been resloved. AND I am now using it with colleagues in school to get them started and confident in using it.

I used flashmeeting with success last year only when it was booked by Nick Falk, or this year when it was booked by Monica Koch. But John tells me that now it has been improved and I should try to book a videoconference myself. So far port 1935 was block from our site, since our free server provided by the Italian Ministry prevents us from communicating either via chats or VC with the outside world. I'm eager to try it again, but I'm waiting for the Ambrosian Carnival holiday to end and be back at school. From my home I can do everything, fortunately as proved by the recent myEurope chats with European experts and other schools.
